He grew up in the Bay Area and in Japan, where immersion in the culture became the foundation for his abiding interest in art. Fine arts was the original path, arcitecture and design the natural conclusion. For 20 years, the Sagan Design Group at Lake Tahoe designed and built high end residences resort and mountain environments. This let to Loring's co-founding of Resort Design Group, in 1992, involved in several internationally ranked boutique lodges, including Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort and Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur. Loring is presently a partner in Sagan Piechota Architecture in San Francisco, a boutique architecture office specializing in contemporary design, planing and development of over $100 million worth of projects worldwide. |
