seawall lot 337

Our proposal for development of Seawall Lot 337 seeks to blend various diverse, often competing, sometime contradictory goals, policies and desires into an achievable result, yielding the greatest economic return for the Port and the best urbanistic response to the site for San Francisco.

The proposed site plan is anchored by a signature Green Tech/ Clean Tech incubator facility, a for-sale residential condominium component, a for-rent residential component, and neighborhood and visitor-serving commercial spaces, all with the anticipated parking at reasonable levels for such a transit-rich environment. We also include an option to expand the parking structure to include loads generated by surrounding uses.

Part and parcel of our plan are approximately seven acres of improved public open space and a re-purposing of Pier 48 with artist-oriented PDR/gallery space,  large-scale public exhibition and event spaces, recreational opportunities and a wholesale flower market.  With our consultants, we will work with the Port to preserve this historic resource on the waterfront. The quirky beauty of the Teatro ZinZanni tent graces the site as well.

Integrated into our design intent is the creation of a series of neighborhood spaces ranging from intimately scaled pedestrian streets to large sunny, protected plazas and shore access points overlooking San Francisco Bay. We envision a vibrant gathering place for visitors, residents, workers and artists, a state of the art sustainable development completing the panorama we so often see in broadcasts from A,T & T Park.
